FAQ

  • First, schedule an intro call. We’ll talk about what you’re looking for, how I can help, and you can ask all the questions. It’s so important that you like me and feel comfortable with me as your therapist. If my specializations and style mesh with what you need, we schedule our first appointment from there.

  • You can pay for therapy using your credit card, debit card, check, or HSA/FSA. I also accept Zelle.

I do not accept insurance for payment.

  • You might be eligible to use out-of-network insurance benefits. You will be responsible for paying for each session in full at time of appointment.

  • To use OON benefits, call the Member Services number on the back of your insurance card. Your OON benefits typically reimburse 60-80% of your session cost.

  • I’ve created guides and worksheets to purchase for much less than the cost of therapy. Visit: https://carlypollack.etsy.com.

To find therapists who are in-network with your insurance, www.psychologytoday.com and www.therapyden.com are great places to search.

For low-cost therapy options, https://openpathcollective.org/ is an amazing nonprofit dedicated to accessible therapy.

  • We will meet weekly for 45-50 minutes. I ask that you commit to weekly sessions for the first 5 weeks. This gives you the best chance to begin seeing results. Many of my clients reach their goals within 3-9 months. Others benefit from ongoing support and we work together longer.

PAT has a unique time structure and time commitments will vary depending on your individualized treatment plan.

  • There are benefits to starting therapy before a crisis, during a trauma, and/or after something overwhelming.

Sometimes, starting therapy when "things are fine" can give you an advantage when life inevitably becomes stressful.

Of course, starting therapy during or after an overwhelming event can give you the space and tools to navigate a really hard time.

Give me a call and we can talk about your situation and how therapy can help.

  • Privacy and flexibility are really important to me. Insurance companies can restrict and intrude on the therapy process.

Investing in yourself financially increases the likelihood of achieving your desired results.

As an LCSW (social worker), I am committed to equity and social justice. I spend half of my week doing non-profit and pro bono therapy work with Kindred Heart Therapy Group in California and The Refugee Development Center in Michigan. I also volunteer weekly with the Routt County Humane Society.

  • Yes, online therapy is both secure and effective. I use HIPAA compliant systems and our video sessions are protected. All therapy interventions that we will use are effective online.

  • All appointments must be cancelled within 48 hours from their scheduled time. You can cancel in the client portal or by email. If you do not cancel within 48 hours, you will be charged the full session fee.

  • I offer in-person intensive therapy in Colorado. Please visit the intensive therapy page to learn more and schedule intensive therapy. PAT is also in-person and options can be discussed during our assessment and intake sessions. Feel free to ask about PAT during our consultation call.
